Transforming Kenya for children with disabilities
In celebration of International Day for Persons with Disabilities 2012 (with the theme Removing barriers to create an inclusive and accessible society for all) CBM has launched the ‘Twende Kazi; Transforming Kenya for Children with Disabilities’ campaign.
Some of the leading Kenyan artist who performed Twende Kazi theme song endorse Twende Kazi campaign.
This is a CBM initiative aimed at championing greater inclusion of children with disabilities in society by building engagement and commitment of key players in breaking the cycle of ‘disability and poverty’. The campaign was officially launched on Thursday November 29th 2012.
‘Twende Kazi’ is the call to action because everyone has a role to play. The ‘Twende Kazi’ campaign is an invitation because CBM takes partnership seriously and this signifies our commitment to work with willing, committed like minded partners to find solutions towards a barrier free and more inclusive society for children with disabilities. The Challenge is ‘let’s get to work transforming Kenya for children with disabilities!’
Twende Kazi campaign theme song
The Twende Kazi Campaign theme song was composed and produced by Robert Kamanzi, popularly known as RKay, and performed by a number of leading Kenyan musicians affected by or passionate about disability issues.
